Dr. Lisa Luciano received her medical degree in 1991 from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. In 1995, she completed her physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the Department of Physical Medicine at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute (JRI). She has been a member of the Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation since 1997. 

In addition to her roles at JRI, she currently holds the position of Practicing Physiatrist in the Rehabilitation Medicine Department at St. Peter’s Medical Center, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and the Shore Rehabilitation Institute.

Dr. Luciano’s presentations have included the 1988 lecture for the medical review course, “Current Management and Rehabilitation Options in Osteoporosis,” at the Central New Jersey Jewish Home for the Aged; Grand Rounds presented at JFK Medical Center, “Cardiac Rehabilitation,” in 1993; and “Osteoporosis: Management Concerns and the Rehab Patient” in 1994.

Dr. Luciano authored several chapters in the 2004 Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Board Review Book, including Oncologic Rehabilitation, Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation and Wheelchair Prescriptions in Rehabilitation Medicine. She also authored the Rheumatology – Self Assessment and Resident Review Course from 1998 to 2003 and co-authored a case report entitled, “Motor Recovery in the Zone.”
