Dr. Eduardo Lopez completed his medical training at UCC School of Medicine, San Juan, Puerto Rico. He then completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the State University of New York in Syracuse, NY, and a Neurorehabilitation fellowship at MCV/VCU in Richmond, Virginia.

Dr. Lopez is board certified in the specialty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and subspecialty of Spinal Cord Injury Medicine.

His professional achievements include Medical Directorships for the following programs: Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens, New York; Brain Injury Section of the Veterans Administration (VA) Medical Hospital, San Juan, Puerto Rico; HEALTHSOUTH Rehabilitation Hospital in Puerto Rico; and Center for Vocational Rehabilitation, University of Puerto Rico Campus.

Dr. Lopez is actively involved in clinical care and research related to acute medical issues affecting the brain injury population, focusing on psychopharmacology, neurobehavior, and neuroendocrine issues. He is also a member of the faculty of the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, where he is responsible for teaching residents, medical students, and allied professionals.
