Research Opportunities

At the JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute (JRI) residency program in central New Jersey, opportunities to pursue basic and clinical research projects are available and encouraged.

An original research paper is required for graduation. JRI is currently conducting research studies in the areas of child development, neuropsychological research, head injuries and basic research. Each resident must identify a research area by the third year and present an original paper at the AAPM&R national meeting prior to graduation.

Residents also have the opportunity to participate in ongoing TBI Model Systems Grant research project and the Rehab Medicine Scientist Training Program funded by NIH and the AAP.
